SUMMARY:Summer’s Lease
DESCRIPTION:Again (as in the May workshop)\, Will with his Sonnet 18: “And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.” This workshop gives you a chance to write on the topic of brevity… of summer? of love? of that new car smell? of life? or its opposite\, anything that is everlasting. As always\, if those ideas don’t strike your writing fancy\, bring what you have\, write what you want. We are here to listen. \n\n\n\n\nHere’s what to expect: \n\nbreath work and a brief intention-setting meditation\ntwo prompts followed by two blocks of individual writing time\ntwo optional sharing sessions\n\n\nDon’t forget\, if you are working on something and would like an intimate group of avid listeners to hear your words\, feel free to bring your work in progress\, your published poem\, your memoir excerpt\, whatever needs an appreciative ear.\n\n\n\nThe workshop is a bring-your-own-lunch. There is a refrigerator and microwave available to you. Coffee\, tea\, and light snacks will be provided. Please bring your own mug to help reduce the amount of trash generated. \nNo matter your writing goals\, you will be right at home with others who come from all levels of experience\, from diarists to dabblers to published authors.
